How to dock a reference image to the Cinema 4D layout
A good reference image takes the guesswork out of proportions, angles, and color. Here's how to set up a reference image side-by-side with the Cinema 4D viewport.
How to dock a reference image to the layout in Cinema 4D
- In Cinema 4D, go to Window ▶ Picture Viewer.
- Hit
⌘O(CtrlO) or click the open icon to load up your reference image. -
To dock the Picture Viewer in the layout, grab the panel handle and drag to the right side of the screen.

Hto fit the image to the panel. - Use
